On Saturday, May 19th, sailboats from throughout South Florida will gather off the shores of Fort Lauderdale Beach to compete in the 21st Annual Hospice Regatta! For years, this highly competitive sailing event has raised funds to support hospice care for patients and families coping with a life-limiting illness.

Following a day of racing, sailors, guests and supporters of the Hospice Regatta will gather for the Post-race Awards Dinner at Coral Ridge Yacht Club.  Starting at 6 pm,  attendees will enjoy a dinner, live entertainment, silent auction, and dancing.

Our skipper’s meeting will take place on Friday, May 18  at 6 pm at the Captain’s Quarters at Bahia Mar Marina.  The Captain’s Quarters are located by the Dockmaster’s office.  Racers will receive their start times and race pack at this meeting.  One crew member from each yacht is required to attend.  Parking fees will be covered.  Light refreshments will be served.

Fundraising Challenge:   In addition to participating in the Regatta, you can support your favorite skipper and crew or cheer on your sailing club as they compete to win 2018 bragging  rights and the perpetual Fundraising Challenge trophy.   No boat, no problem.  Form your own “fun” raising crew and join the competition.  Participants who raise $1,000 or more will receive two tickets to the awards dinner so sign up today.
