Racers Set Sail on Saturday, May 20, 2017
Fort lauderdale, Fla. (May 20, 2017) – On Saturday, May 20th, sailboats from throughout South Florida will gather off the shores of Fort Lauderdale Beach to compete in the 2017 Hospice Regatta, presented by Holman Enterprises.
Sailors who enter this 12-mile race will compete for Top Finisher in one of the following seven classes, PHRF, ARC, ONE DESIGN, MULTIHULL, CRUISING CANVAS, BEACH CAT, and GUNK HOLE and the opportunity to present the 2018 Hospice Regatta in the National Hospice Regatta Alliance Championship.
For twenty years, this highly competitive sailing event has raised funds to support hospice care for patients and their families coping with a life-limiting illness.

The weekend on the water begins with a skipper’s meeting on Friday, May 19, at 6:30 p.m. at the Coral Ridge Yacht Club. Guests will enjoy dinner, drinks and raffles.
Racing begins with the first race signal on Saturday, May 20, at 11 a.m.
Following a day of racing, skippers, crew members, friends, family, guests and supporters of the 20th Annual Hospice Regatta will gather for a Post-Race Awards Dinner at Coral Ridge Yacht Club. Attendees will enjoy an evening of dancing and live music courtesy of the Will Bridges Band, savory cocktails and a delectable meal. Fabulous prizes will also be up for grabs in a silent auction and raffle. A limited amount of tickets are still available.
