Hosts Inaugural ‘Jail & Bail’ Fundraising Event

Broward County Executives Make Bail!

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (Aug. 25, 2017) – Community leaders in Broward County participated in the inaugural Hospice Jail & Bail event in support of Hospice of Broward County Foundation. On Friday, Aug. 25, executives from various organizations were “taken into custody” in hopes to be “bailed out” by their colleagues.

To help them raise their bail, friends and coworkers of the detainees donated online through a fundraising website through the Foundation. The bailout amount for each participant was $2,500.

A Release Party was held at Stache Drinking Den + Coffee Bar on August 25th, which included both participants and their friends, family and colleagues. The participants raised over $33,000 for the Foundation, which will directly benefit the patients and families being cared for through Trustbridge.

Local participating executives included: Cynthia Baker of CWG Healthcare Solutions, Candi Evett of Revolution Live, Brian Freed of Stache Drinking Den + Coffee Bar, Jennifer Jacobs of Sunshine Health, Jarred John of America’s Backyard, Lois Marino of Hoffman’s Chocolates; Jason Neufeld of Neufeld, Kleinberg & Pinkiert, PA; Shawn Sackman of SunTrust; Craig Tanner of Print Basics; Meredith Tucker of Kaufman Rossin and Valerie Vitale of Hospice of Broward County Foundation.

Hospice of Broward County Foundation and Hospice by the Sea Foundation have been an integral part of the communities that they serve in helping patients receive the hospice care that they deserve. Donations to the organization directly benefit hospice patients and their families, including extraordinary comfort care, music therapy and individual and family bereavement services.

Sponsors for the event included CWG Healthcare Solutions, Life Healthcare Services, OTD, Stache Drinking Den + Coffee Bar and Sterling Search and Consulting.
